Sex determination and age estimation is important subject in both the living and the dead body. In the process of individual identification of the human remains such as skeletonized, charred, putrefied, decomposed, crushed body, sex determination and age estimation should depend on bone and teeth.
In Korea, because there are many problems such as the missing people, the war dead, the dispersed families between north and south Korea, the adopted people abroad, we expect much more needs of individual identification. This is an overview of sex determination and age estimation using hard tissue.
